Hi - thanks for visiting this page.

My name is Benny, and I am living in Germany, Rhineland-Palatinate, in a Bortle Class 4-5 area.

As a newcomer in astrophotography, I'd like to share some experiences and thoughts from the past 2 years.

What can be achieved in one year of continuous learning can be seen below on the example of M42. Between these two images there have been lots of improvements in equipment (e.g. astro camera, scope guiding, filters, software) but also a major gain in experience in image capturing, data processing and post-processing. I want to show that even if it is a long and winding road - it is worth the effort.

My web page consists of a blog (where I share some thoughts, news and activities) and a couple of pages describing processing techniques I am using from image acquisition to post-processing.

And...sorry for writing in English - but I feel I can reach a larger audience. On the other hand - sorry for my English :-)
